Helping children and adolescents

Children teach us how to be happy for no reason at all. As children and adolescents grow, they may find it difficult to process emotions which can lead to challenges that can impact mental health and well-being. To assist with these challenges, therapeutic approaches may include: cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, trauma-informed care and behaviorally-based interventions. I provide services to children and adolescents that may have experienced trauma, (e.g. physical, emotional, sexual, due to neglect, exposure to violence, etc.), struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, behavioral and attachment issues (relating to adoption, foster care, parental conflict/mental health issues) and family conflict.
